Just what is an electronic pet containment system ?

Does your pet climb or dig under fences to escape your property? Have you experienced that sinking feeling when someone left the gate open and your dog has escaped? Is your "Houdini" dog costing you a fortune in fines at the local pounds?

Now there is a system that enables you to keep your pet safely within the boundaries of your property without being obtrusive to your surroundings, is less expensive and more effective than a fence. You create an in-ground hidden invisible fence using the easy-to-install boundary wire. When your dog is wearing a containment collar and approaches within a distance of between 1-3 metres of the boundary, it will hear an audible warning tone.

If they venture further, your dog will receive a harmless, mild, static pulse... just enough to keep your pet safe within the boundary. Training flags help your dog recognise the parameters of his new home!

The boundary wire must make a complete loop and be connected to the transmitter. The wire acts as a radio antenna and gives off a radio field either side of the wire. Twisting the wires together cancels the signal, so the dog can run across this part. This allows you to block off areas such as gardens, swimming pools or anywhere else you don't want your dog to go. All systems are supplied with a "How to DVD", plus enough wire and training flags for most suburban blocks. For acreage or larger properties additional boundary kits are available.
